I’m Chris, and I’m an architecture and interior photographer in Tampa, Florida.

My interest in photography was sparked by a college semester abroad in South Africa. I came home from one of the most beautiful places in the world with one of the most disappointing collections of images. As a self-described lover of learning, I was determined to teach myself how to really use a camera and photograph the places I visited in a way that captured them for what they were. On study breaks during medical school, I spent untold hours reading about photography and watching photography tutorials. With my growing knowledge, I began doing more travel and landscape photography, along with learning photo editing.

I fell into capturing interiors after photographing my own home in the midst of some renovations. I shared my photos with the designer who’d helped with the project and soon found myself photographing her other projects, as well as those of other designers.

My first career is in medicine as a pediatric emergency physician. So while photography is a business for me, it is still very much a passion. It is the side of my life that allows me to be creative, see beautiful places and spaces, and collaborate with the talented people that create them. What I love most about photography are the technical aspects – lighting, angles, gear, and editing - necessary to bring the image to life in a way that reveals the in-person feel of the space and the designer’s vision.

In addition to interior design and architecture work, I also enjoy travel and landscape photography
